Cover Letter Templates
A cover letter is read after the CV, not before it, and its job is narrow: explain why this role and not another. Three short paragraphs do that better than a full page of prose, which is what these layouts are spaced for.
Each design pairs with one of the CV templates, so a letter and CV sent together look like they came from the same person rather than two different downloads.
A cover letter earns its place by saying what the CV cannot - why this employer, and why now. It repeats nothing from the CV itself, which is easier to judge once you know what the CV is already carrying.

Common questions
How long should a cover letter be?
Three paragraphs on one page. Why this role, what you have done that is relevant, and how to reach you. Anything longer is usually the CV repeated in sentences.
Who do I address it to?
The hiring manager by name if the advert or the company's site gives you one. If not, "Dear Hiring Team" is fine - "To Whom It May Concern" reads as a form letter, because it is one.
Do I still need one?
When the application asks for it, yes, and it is read. When it does not, a short covering email doing the same job is enough.
