When should New Year cards be sent?
Late December, or the first week of January if you missed the Christmas post. A card arriving in the first week of the year gets more attention than one lost in the December pile.
What do you write in a New Year card for a client?
Thank them for the year's work in one line and wish them well in the next. Keep it short - a client card that reads like marketing gets binned.
Can I put the year on the card?
Yes, and on a New Year card it usually helps. Set it in the greeting line and it becomes the largest thing on the card.
