What is the difference between a diploma and a certificate?
A diploma records completion of a course of study and names the institution awarding it. A certificate marks an achievement, an award, or attendance - shorter, and usually issued in greater numbers.
What should a diploma say?
The institution, the award, the recipient, what was completed, the date, and at least one signature with a title. Anything more and the type has to shrink.
What should it be printed on?
200gsm or heavier, matt. Anything lighter buckles in a frame, and gloss shows every fingerprint from the day it is handed over.
