What has to be on a gift voucher?
The business, the value, who it is for, an expiry date, and any conditions. A code helps you track redemption; for a personal gift, clear that box and it disappears.
How long should a voucher be valid?
A year is usual and generous. Check local rules before setting anything shorter - several countries set a legal minimum, and an expiry that breaks it is unenforceable anyway.
Can I use this for a small business?
Yes, and the code field is there for exactly that. Keep a list of issued codes and mark them off; a voucher scheme without a record is a voucher scheme you cannot balance.
